What is your policy definition of good driving behavior and how is it communicated?
We recently wrote an article that had a template on Creating Driver Incentive Programs (see link), and from talking to people who have read the article, I get the impression that many fleets wonder how such fleet safety or incentive programs are defined.
How do you communicate to the driver what behavior is ok and what behavior is not. For example Idling - how many minutes are allowed per day or per week? Or for acceleration, what constitutes a driver accelerating too much? What is the actual policy definition?
