Fuel filter failure with ethanol fuel (unleaded)

I was wondering if any body else is having problems with FleetGuard fuel filters? We have had this filter for the Ford Superduty's fail on several occasions. It was first noticed when mechanics were changing fuel filters, when they removed the old ones they would rattle. When we cut them apart we found the element had come unglued from the housing. When this happens it lets unfiltered fuel to the injectors and regulator, which causes them to fail. This has happend in as little as 2 days then the new filter is bad again. We have changed brands and no longer see this occuring. I contacted FleetGaurd and they have not returned an answer to me.

Thanks for the reply, our issue is with the 10% Etanol fuel, have you run into the Aluminum sulfate (white powder) plugging them or something different?

We went back to OEM (Motorcraft) fuel filters after finding that the bottom (inside) of the housing was showing rust (mainly due the water in the ethanol that didn't make it through the filter). We found that the OEM housings are make stainless steel for a reason.
