In which department does your corporate travel program reside? At APS it is a responsibility of the Fleet Department. We are currently looking to see if it should remain or move.
Thanks for any input.

MO Dept of Natural Resources uses a decentralized method for travel where each traveler, or a program level travel clerk (heirarchaly: Dept, Division, Program) makes arrangements based on state and department travel policy. I personally can't see a rationale for a travel office being in Fleet -- unless virtually all travel is by vehicle. But if air is significantly involved, with today's on-line tools (Orbitz, Travelocity, Cheapfares, etc) I would think most travelers would be able to make their own arrangements -- once the fly vs drive decision had been made, and policy would often make that decision. Thanks.

All Black Hills Corporation's travel is managed by our Facilities Department. They negotiate agreements with a travel agency and mandate all air, hotel and car rentals go through the agency. The travel company has a dedicated agent that maintains profiles for each employee that travels that makes for quick and easy reservations for all travel.
